About

Jaylen will always be remembered for far more than his incredible basketball talent. He had a heart of gold and a spirit that made everyone around him feel included and valued. Always giving to those less fortunate, Jaylen carried a selflessness well beyond his years. His smile and presence could light up any room, and his maturity often led many to believe he was much older than his age.

What made Jaylen truly special was the way he looked out for others — taking under his wing those who didn’t share the same gifts, encouraging them, guiding them, and lifting them up. His kindness, generosity, and leadership were just as powerful as his game on the court, leaving a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.

A Game That Defined a Journey

Jaylen’s love for basketball began at just 3 years old, and from that moment on, the game became a defining part of his life. Throughout his journey, he was named MVP in multiple leagues year after year, always leaving his mark on the court. One of his most memorable weekends came when he sank two buzzer beaters back-to-back — one in a championship game and the other in an all-star matchup — a testament to his clutch spirit and fearless heart.

His talent earned him invitations to many elite camps, including the prestigious CP3 camp. Many teams across the nation would contact Jaylen hoping he would be apart of their program. In his 8th grade season, Jaylen led his middle school team to a remarkable 9–1 record and a county championship — an achievement the school hadn’t seen in years. Averaging an incredible 32 points per game, he became the leading scorer for middle school basketball in the entire state of Virginia. He currently played for Rockit Basketball and the nationally ranked Under Armour team out of Alabama, “All In Go Crazy.”

After his historic 8th grade season, Jaylen earned a scholarship to Benedictine College Prep, where he had already begun working out and competing with the varsity squad as just a 13-year-old freshman.
